  1. With enough money, you can do anything.  You will need to change out your fuel tank, the fuel system and some parts of the engine.  Having done this, you will need to find a source of hydrogen.  Please do not fall into the trap of thinking you can make your own hydrogen.  You can, but it will be very expensive compared to gasoline or diesel.  Also, beware of the many hydrogen fuel scams out their that claim you can use electricity from your cars alternator to produce hydrogen that you then burn to reduce your gasoline (petrol) usage.  These are just the most recent form of the classic perpetual motion con.  They do not work, in fact, you will end up with lower mileage and more emissions.

  2. yes, it is possible, but it is very risky. I would definitely reccomend not doing so, because the hydrogen gas is so volatile. If hydrogen gas reaches a pressure just high enoug, it will explode, whereas petrol needs a much higher temperature or pessure, like in diesel engines. The gas can leak, which would be very very dangerous, and if you were that adamant about doing so, i would advise you to consult a professional, who would probably reccomend that you just

buy a new car that runs on hydrogen.

P.S., the way Agua Luna says to do it is very very dangerous, not to mention that the process( called electrolysis) is very slow and takes a lot of time to produce a minimal amount of hydrogen.

P.S.S. Agua Luna, O2 is attracted to the positive because it is a cation, and H2 to the negative because it is an anion and has a surplus of electrons.

  3. yes you can run your engine on hydrogen, but there are problems. first you need a tank that is capable of handling the pressure needed to store hydrogen in a usable form. these tanks are quite heavy, and are cylindrical in shape and are thus hard to package. you can use a propane carburettor as a fuel metering unit. you now need fuel line that can handle the pressure, but that part is easy since steel line works nicely.

the are other fuels you can use as well, like propane, compressed natural gas, and methane. they all have similar disadvantages as hydrogen though regarding the fuel system.

  4. It is possible to do it but not a good idea. Hydrogen gas needs to be handled in a safe way and it is also very expensive to make and store. Hydrogen can be burned in a gasoline engine but a lot of modification has to be done to the fuel system.

I see an answer from agua-lu that makes it seem easy but that guy is trying to sell you information and what he says is foolish and untrue. Some of what he suggests is dangerous. He suggests using a 1.5 amp solar cell to make the power, Consider your car battery uses about 60 amps just to start your engine and you will quickly realize that agua-lu is no engineer. His aluminum can plan may cause a chemical explosion that could blind somebody for life.

If you want to drive an alternative fuel vehicle consider trading in your gasoline car for a diesel powered car, then run the diesel on vegetable oil  (known as bio diesel) Bio diesel gets its energy from the sun so it would really be a solar powered vehicle. Any diesel will run on bio diesel with no modifications needed and diesels get about 30% better MPG than gasoline engines. You can buy bio diesel that is all ready to use in your car or truck.

  5. Oy niblo you got the same name as me. the answer to your question is no.

  6. Hydrogen is the most explosive gas there is. Its atoms are so small they will leak through most hoses and connectors. If u want to fill your gas tank ,U must make sure that no oxygen gets in the tank of it will flash back into the tank.
