I keep a journal and i have bought a plain A4 notebook with the spiral wire. I want to make it really special and was wondering if i could crochet squares to cover it with like an actual book cover not a book pouch or anything.

If its possible how do i do it? do i glue the squares on or what

  1. Yes this is possible, just crochet your squares so they are long enough to go around the book. Then crochet pieces however wide you want on the inside flap. lay the back part on the part for the inside and just whip stitch ( over the ends ) the two pieces together. If you don't know the whip stitch just search a knitting or crocheting site. I like www.knitty.com, they have good illustrations.

  2. How about making a rectangle, long enough to cover the outside and fold over in the inside, then sew to edges to hold it there. It maybe best to use a non stretchy cotton thread instead of a stretchy yarn.

  3. check out this link :http://www.allfreecrafts.com/crochet/cro...

And for a very stylish book cover: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article...

  4. If you don't want to crochet a pocket to slide the cover into, then I would suggest you just glue them on.  Tape won't adhere to the yarn very well.

If you decide to do a cover with a pocket that you can just slide the book into, you should be able to find some patterns online that you can modify.

  5. probably possible
