While the human body does generate a bit of electrical currant, what the movie fails to mention is that the total power output in electricity would not be enough to offset the energy required to build, maintain, and monitor such a system. Not to mention produce food for,and manage the waste of the inhabitants.

The whole system would require more energy inputs than it produces is the basic point.
