  1. If a floating gin palace doesn't appeal, google for a cargo passenger line.  No on-board entertainment but cheaper, few fellow passengers and a generally great service, often with the run of the ship.

  3. Yes, go on the P&O cruise web site or Cunard and they will leave from Southampton, or might even run coaches from your part of country. Alternatively fly to Southampton airport and get a train the 15 minute rid into town then taxi or taxi all way from airport.

    Enjoy its a marvolous way to cross the Atlantic.

  4. The Queen Mary II is the only passenger ship which still runs a scheduled passenger service across the Atlantic. It isn't cheap!

    i know that there are some that leave from Southampton cos i used to work there in the docks and knew some of the dockers

  8. Cruise liner from Southampton, it have even been crossed in a rowing boat.
