Can I negotiate monthly bills like internet, cable, cell phone, credit card interest, etc? I am paying out the wazoo for these things! If so, how do I go about doing that?

  1. Yes, not sure about the cable and all that (you could ask if they have a cheaper plan) but as for your cc's or any loans you may have, try CareOne.com

If you don't have that much debt. Try calling you cc's and asking them to lower your interest rate. 9 times out of 10, if you are up to date on your payments and have had the card for over 3 mos they will lower it.

  2. Yes, all the things you listed can be all cut down to just the basics most definitely the cable and internet. For the cell phone I'd suggest prepaid, this way if you don't have funds you can't speak to spend more or what you don't have/afford, and they do have monthly prepaid plans. I have heard you can call to negotiate the interest on your credit cards, but i don't know if its promising.
