I went to my eye doctor, and he said that somehow my left eye's astigmatism is decreased a bit, so I don't know what I could be doing that would make the astigmatism decrease. Are there any ways of decreasing your astigmatism? I mean, I know that you have to get surgery to get rid of it, but I'm not sure if there are any ways to maybe just make my astignmatism better.

  1. There isn't really anything that you can do yourself to decrease your astigmatism.  Even though your astigmatism may have gone down some this year, there is always the possibility that it could go back up again next year.  I know my astigmatism has decrease in one eye but increased in other in the past and then do something different again the next year.  Glasses and contacts both only correct the astigmatism in the sense that it helps you see sharper while wearing them but they don't change the shape of your cornea or anything so it doesn't fix the astigmatism. Hope that helps =)
