Yes. A friend of my father's, someone I knew, came down with Alzheimer's. His family sold his hobby out from under him. My father found the man to be very lucid and was not in that part of the disease where the mind is no longer knowing. But he was bored with nothing to do. Six months later he died. President Reagan lived for 10 years with it. Six months indicates boredom.
