People can have heart attacks or strokes doing anything, but using the ouija board will not cause anyone to die.  The ouija board is just a game that you can buy in most toy stores and department stores, an ordinary piece of wood or plastic or cardboard.  It has no supernatural powers.  The people using it make it work.  It plays on your mind and imagination and your susceptibilities and beliefs and fears.  It can be scary because the imagination is a powerful thing, and can make you believe anything.  Here are a couple of links that discuss ouija boards.

I don't think there's any right or wrong use, just misuse. The ouija board plays on personal fears (as has been mentioned). I've actually seen it (as a paranormal investigator) where the board has spelled out D-E-A-T-H and several ouija users have died through mysterious accidents. Why? Because they became so terrified that they started believing it, so were subconsciously looking for it. Death as a symbol, however, whether it be through dreams, tarot cards or visions, nearly always mean change or the ending of the old and the beginning of something new. In all of the cumulative studies that I've done, the common factors that do tie death in with ouija boards are fear and mindset, although there is no tangible evidence of deaths associated with ouija boards themselves.
