Are there enough clear days, or is it cloudy the whole summer?

  1. You will require 200 hours of flight time to get a commercial pilot certificate in Canada:

If the summer lasts 90 days, then you will need more than 2 hours of flight each day to finish, and that doesn;t even include your ground lessons and tests. That will be a stretch even with perfect weather, perfect scheduling, no delays, etc. If you do encounter delays, poor weather, etc. then you will have to fly even more to make up for it. I think it would be incredibly optimistic to finish the course over the summer. Finishing the private course might be more reasonable.

Ask at a flight school in your area for more information. Here is one as an example:

On their FAQ, they say that you can expect to finish a CPL in "less than a year" if training full time:

Here is a Google search for Vancouver flight schools. Any will be able to give you a better idea of the weather and feasibility of finishing over the summer:

    Good luck!
