Is it possible to do cocaine once in a while, and not be addicted?

my friend tells me she does coke...but only once in a while...but i feel like the conversation comes up often...but maybe not cuz i dont' really know what the addiction level is....so i'd estimate like once every two weeks she does it...is that bad? is she addicted?

i have the same situation, and my friend says that its not addictive if you did it only "once in a while"..

for me its a no no! i did some research about it and i think its more addictive than most people would think, you'd start okay for a certain period then the craving will increase and next thing you know, BAM!! you're an addict..

no the one thing about coke is although its not a huge high and a dirty drug it is highly highly addictive. I have smoked on and off for 7 years, still not addicted to cigarettes. But i tried coke once and couldn't stop thinking about it for a week afterwards!

thank god I moved out of that area!

once every two weeks is very very dangerous territory, Id say shes probably addicted.

Its not as addictive as your parents and teachers and other kids on here have told you, but its certainly no joke.

Yes, it is possible to do coke once in a while without becoming addicted. The problem is that the more often this 'once in a while is' the more likely you are to become addicted and every person's addiction threshold is different. Encourage your friend to stop and attend a  Narcotics Anonymous meeting just to hear the stories. I lost my uncle to a 'once in a while' addiction to coke. He spent the last five years of his life in a nursing home having to be fed and have his diapers changed before dying at a very young age of repeated massive heart attacks and strokes. He had been a big, healthy man. He was a career Private Investigator and bodyguard in the Los Angeles area. It can take anyone.

People develop tolerance to cocaine and greater quantities of the drug are needed to produce euphoric effects. In lab experiments, animals will continue to take cocaine until they kill themselves.

So in my opinion your friend is probably lieng about how much she takes if any.

Yes it is possible. My friend have done cocaine before and we are not addictive. We have done it a few times, but we are not active users.

It is POSSIBLE, but you are more likely to get addicted to coke if you try it.

Well... I am kind of in her situation, but i do it mayber once a month or sometimes even once every other month... I dont consider my self a big coke head or anything, but I would have to say that i am addicted... If someone offers it to me, i will take it. Ask her if she would do the same? if so, she is addicted, but know how to control herself better than others.

Cocaine is one of the most, if not the most addictive drug! If she is not addicted yet, sounds like she is on the road to addiction....

ITS a terrible drug, and if she thinks she can party like a rock star and not become addicted then she's crazY!

Just dont do it with her please :)
