I have plans on going to Japan for a school year, starting in September. This would be my last year at school, and is important as this is my GSCE year. How will this affect my GCSEs?

  1. I'm pretty sure they don't have GCSEs in Japan, unless you go to an English school - and there doesn't seem a lot of point in that.

If I were you I'd seriously consider doing your year in Japan (wow, what an experience!) and then coming back and doing your GCSEs the year after. Sure, you'll be a year older, but it's just like taking a year out before university.
