  1. as u mature, ull realize a lot of things

  2. You ask yourself, "Self, why am I REALLY doing what I'm doing?"

  3. Of course.  People do it all the time.

Almost all of us want to be valued and noticed by people we think highly of, but very few of us deliberately plan out step by step exactly what we're going to say and/or do before we go to a party, and go through these steps like a robot.

It's something we do subconsciously.  We are motivated by thoughts, desires & emotions under the surface which drive our behavior, even though we usually are not consciously aware of these motivations or even where they come from.

It's like a software package on our computer.  When we double-click on an icon, all we are aware of is that we want something to open up.  We usually don't think about or even understand the computer program that runs behind the scenes that coordinates all the information perfectly, and puts it in correctly in the computer's memory, and keeps it there as long as needed. But without it, nothing would happen when you double-clicked.

So we are always motivated by SOMETHING whenever we take any action, or even no action at all.  We don't need to "find out" we're doing it, because we know we already are.  And that isn't always a bad thing.

What's more important is to consider our motives -- WHY we do it?  This isn't always easy to figure out, but the best person to answer these questions is ourselves, and with honesty and some practice, we can become better at it.
