Is it possible to do this???

I asked a Question recently, asking what is the world record for not blinking...anyway, most of the answers said around 68 days. I think this is impossible (under normal circumstances) because everyone must sleep and to do so they must shut their eyes!

Is it true, and how did they do it?

I have no idea...But honestly why would you do that... completely unnatural... maybe they just duct taped their eyes open and used loads of eyedrops lol

i do have a professor with an artificial eye and guess what? that part doesn't blink hahaha

Well if blinking is open and closing your eyes then someone could just keep their eyes closed.

So i guess it is possible.

pff seems impossible to me. U cant stop blinking unless u have an operation on ur eye or something idk.

no, you would die, i think a week or so with out sleep and your a gonner,  i knew a kid that wouldnt blink while playing video games,

I would think it is impossible not to blink for 68 days.

My reasoning: When you fall asleep (and I doubt a person can stay up for 68 days) you enter whats called "rem" Rapid Eye movement sleep.

"rem"  is the phase of sleep where people dream.

So OBVIOUSLY if you sleep  and your eyes have Rapid Eye Movement, that would be blinking.

I also looked up the longest a person has ever remained awake. That was 11 days (266 hours to be exact).

So that proves the record wrong.
