Is it possible to do this with computer monitor.......?

i have a spare 15" pc monitor which requires a 12v power supply, and was wondering if it is possible to power direct from car ciggy lighter, and run a cable from headunit using video out (rca) straight to monitor with a rca to vga adapter, i cant think of a reason it wouldnt work, would like to know if it couldnt thanks

I can't think of a reason that this shouldn't work either but check your polarities first.

I would say no, a car volt battery may not be strong enough
