Is it possible to download DS games on an SD card and play them on my DS?

I have an SD card (1gb) but i'm not sure if my Nintendo DS can read it correctly. Or do I have to buy a special card?

SD cards doesn't fit the DS, however there are adaptors from 3rd party brands to put micro SD cards but I won't recommend then, they are pretty bad quality and the available games you can put there are also pretty bad, don't expect the same games that are in the store to be available through this method, unless you want to hack your DS

The ony way to download games legally is just to get demos via download station at the store but they will go away if you turn off your console

Nope, sorry. You can download game demos via game download stations at some stores or using the Wii. An SD card won't work for you, sorry!
