  1. No, you cant do that. If you want more video effects, you may try this Mac DVD Creator, my friends recommend it to me, it embeds many funny video effects.

  2. iMovie 08 is not a particularly good program for special effects.

    What you need to do is download the previous version of iMovie HD 06.
