Is it possible to download movies for free and then transfer to ipod touch?

Yes! You can find movie downloads (Must be MPEG format, or will not convert) on any torrent site, but most of my friends favor Bittorrent. All you need to do with the file left is to drag it onto iTunes. (You have to download the Bittorent program first,) when finished downloading, right click on the file you want, select "Open containing file" and drag the file to your desktop, ad then drag it on to iTunes anywhere. In iTunes, You can access the file in "videos".  NOTE: My friends showed me in detail how to do this, I never tried this myself or any of the following methods.

  Sometimes, people upload movies on Youtube, so say you wanted to watch "Shrek", you would type in "Shrek part 2" because they have to be broken into "parts" now because of the 10 minute time limit. (Which was taken in action to reduce uploading movies and t.v shows ^^) All you need to do is click "Download VIdeo" on the top right of the video screen and select to convert it into the Mpeg format. This also works with Google Videos too.

It is, but it's illegal...

Best way is to buy directly from iTunes, that way, no cops will hunt you down.

Remember: Nothing in life is free. If you don't "pay" for movies now, you will "pay" later, either in jail or with even more money.
