Is it possible to drop the last digit of your phone number so that its a nine digit number ?

the other day i got a phone call from a nine digit number... the area code was the same as mine..so i know it wasn't some weird foreign call... the only thing was the last digit was missing... is it possible to do that..?? and if it is how do you it??

  1. No its not if you drop the last digit of the phone number it becomes a totally different number.That person probably had that sort of number because itdifferenciates that number from others if they dont have any other number types left in your area


  2. No, I don't believe that is possible. Chances are your caller ID was just messed up somehow.
