  1. Sure, absolutely.  But if the salad is mainly fruit, I would stick to slightly sweeter vegetables like carrots, beets, and peas instead of stronger-flavored vegetables like broccoli & spinach.

If you're doing the opposite, mostly veggies and some fruit, then go crazy with any fruit.  Strawberry-spinach salads are great.  Raisins, pineapple, apples, oranges, cranberries, all are great on vegetables salads.

  2. Carrots and raisins are fruit and vegatable.

  3. Yes, I once ate a vegetable salad and it had mango and dates.  It tasted delicious.

  4. Maybe this is a personal taste thing, but I love to put fruit in my green salad, but the thought of putting greens in my fruit salad (which is predominantly sweet), sort of doesn't seem so tempting...I would be very sparing about how much veggie I would add to a fruit salad.   But that's completely a matter or taste...there's no real rules against it.  And it certainly won't hurt you.

  5. It is so possible that many people eat salads that have  both fruit and vegetables.

  6. uh yea i do it all the time...tomatoes or lettuce...it's amazing : )

  7. Hmm...tomatoes are a fruit so there's one.  I put apples, oranges, cranberries and sometimes pinapple in my salads.  It all depends on your tastes and preferences.
