Is it possible to eliminate the error messages like:

program has encountered a problem and needs to close

if possible, answer.

  1. no....if it encounters a probably it just encountered an error...would you rather have it just close?


  2. The encounter/problem message you're seeing is Windows' crash handler (never thought I'd ever say that...). It gracefully closes the program that has crashed, and lets you know politely.

    Whatever program is "encountering a problem" is buggy. I would either get rid of it or see if you can score an updated version.

    If this feature wasn't there, you'd be back in the Win98 days, when a crashing program took the whole computer down with it.

    In System Properties > Error Reporting, you might have an option to suppress the message itself, but the functionality will still be there.

    Anyway, do something about the buggy program that keeps crashing. If it's a Windows system program (which is common, go figure), make sure you're system is current a la Windows Update.

  3. You get that error when a program stops working properly, you must give more info, what program is it? when does it happen?
