I was wondering if anyone has tried to use the processing power of two or more units to form a mini "super computer" at home , a model that can prove useful when dealing with complex video editing & demanding applications ? I tried to look up the concept of distributed processing and came across nothing applicable for home use.

Thanks.

  1. It's not likely that you'll see this anytime soon. Each individual software program would have to be rewritten to distribute the work. And, for example, Adobe isn't gonna spend the money to rewrite Photoshop to do this without seeing any demand for it.
