Is it possible to enjoy an alcohol again after getting extremely ill from it?

In about february of this year i recently consumed a lot of vodka and it made me extremely ill. I now find an intolerance of vodka itself and cant stand the flavor of it which im now hypersensitive too.

i've also found that this had impeded my enjoyment of other types of alcohol which make me feel slightly sick as well.

The question is whether i will be able to drink and enjoy vodka and other alcohols again or if there's a way i can sort my system out to enjoy it?

  1. Okay, this same thing happened to me with Bacardi about 8 years ago, and til this day I still can't stand to smell Bacardi.  I switched to wine and after a while I was able to go back to some hard liquors.

  2. its called association sickness or something like that...try to do something positive while drinking, and dont drink too much.  like, go with some friends to a pool and lay out in the sun.  make a batch of drinks and dont make them very strong.  i mean it.  make very very weak drinks.

    and dont have too many.

    give it time.

    my other suggestion-  make Sorbosas!

    -champagne

    -fruit sorbet of your choosing

-normal glass (high ball glass will work too)

                (champagne flute are too small)

put two scoops of sorbet into a glass and fill with champagne

trust me, its light and delicious and makes you(me) smile

once you master one drink- you can move onto other ones.

  3. Ha!  Eventually you'll be able to drink again.

Just make sure you don't overconsume, and definately don't drink to get drunk.  Enjoy your alcohol!  :)
