Question:

Is it possible to fight for your life?

Often i hear from documentaries etc, that a person can be near to death and "gives up the fight to live" or doesnt fight hard enough. I've heard that if a person wants to live enough (in some cases) that they can try hard to live; often this is when a person is in hospital. What is meant by this? Is it the light from the 'other side' that is attractive to a person on their death bed? Is it their own decision?

  1. in order to have light u need a sun. so if there is no sun in heaven then u cant see

  2. I think this is like when you are tired and want to go to sleep and you stay up fighting the need to sleep. But you fight for not dying.

  3. I've seen it done.  My 9 year old son pulled a tube out of his throat with his feet when his hands were fastened down.  I believe he had been unnecessarily intubated and I would not allow them to reinsert it.  He's fine.

I don't know what made him do it, but it took me hours to get to the hospital and he did it shortly after I got there.  He was unconscious, and I can only surmise he heard me questioning the doctors about their treatment.

My 92 year old grandmother fought hard to stay alive until all of her children could get there.  She tried (unsuccessfully) to fight them giving her the opiates and my mom was 2 hours away when she died.
