  1. Yes it is.... you may find more later you just couldnt see them. I would just keep pettying your dog and running your fingers along his skin everyday to make sure. If you are worried aobut the tick laying eggs take him to the vet and they can take care of that. We use frontline on all of our animals and never had a problem with it not working as long as you use it right.

  2. Ticks very rarely reproduce on the dog. Ticks hitch rides on dogs from plants outside. Once the tick has seized on the dog it will not reproduce. If you found only one tick and have checked the dog closely then that was probably the only tick on it this time.

  3. Yes, it is possible to only find one tick on your dog.  Just be sure to check your dog often, epically if you let it play where you think it might have picked up the first tick.

No, I don't think the tick laid any eggs on your dog, adult ticks usually lay their eggs in the grass so animals can pick them up while they are doing their running around.

  4. yeah, just keep an eye on him just incase

  5. Yes, it is very possible to find only one tick on your dog.  Eggs are NOT laid on the host animal (in this case your dog).  They are laid on the ground, and the larvae will attach themselves to hosts to feed.  So, no worries.  Remove the one that's on your dog and check it thoroughly to make sure there aren't others in less conspicuous areas.  If you aren't already using a product like Frontline Plus that protects against ticks, it might be worth a call to your  vet to get some.

  6. Yes.

Earlier this summer I found only one hiding in my dogs fur and removed it from her. I searched her entire body very carefully and didn't find anymore.

  7. Yes it is possible that there was only one tick. But make sure when you removed it, you removed the entire body, sometimes if the tick has burrowed into the skin, the head gets detached and this could cause in infection. Also make sure you very careful and wash Your hands thoroughly has ticks can transmit diseases such as Lyme disease. Frontline flea preventative can help with ticks as well. If your dog has allot of fur, then make sure you do a thorough check because Ticks love to burrow and hide in warm places such as underarms, belly, etc.

  8. it could have laid eggs. i would do a flea/tick treatment just in case.

  9. It might have.
