When I'm in college, I do plan on going to parties, dating, (maybe) drinking socially, but I don't want to ever try drugs or get drunk every single night. The colleges I'm looking into are ones like Yale, Cornell, NYU, etc. Will it be possible to have fun while keeping my moral standards in mind? Or will I be doomed to a lonely number of years in college?

  1. no offence, but you sound a little boring. just give in, get loaded every night and party ur *** off, its more fun

  2. No, smoke some weed and drink some booze dammit.

  3. why don't you go to bible college

  4. That is all up to you. You choose the activities you do, as well as the people you surround yourself with. Focus on your studies and find strength in your religion (if you practice).

  5. Get involved with campus organizations.  A lot of these are full of straightedge people who still have tons of fun.  Maybe get involved with Residence Life (the dorms).  Or, if you are religious, find a student religious organization that fits you.  Even if these people aren't the coolest to hang out with on the weekends, they might keep you in line if you start to stray.

And honestly, no matter what the movies tell you, the people who actually pass college aren't getting drunk every single night.  Maybe on the weekends (and sometimes Thursday).

  6. You can find a college life that doesn't involve excessive drinking and drug use.  Just be selective with your group of friends, and try to seek out those who share similar interests.  Colleges also have "club" type groups, so you may think about joining something like this to find others that are more like you.

    Good luck!
