Mine don't seem to have any aerodynamic qualities to speak of.

Certainly!  It is much easier to keep the contacts in place than glasses .... or the headset for that matter.

not sure, but in my opinions no.

because g-force is not only acting up/downward in relative to earth and/or our body , it also sometimes excerts forward and backward g's that feels like our eyes were pulled out or pushed in.
