  1. Yes you can freeze cheese.


  2. As long as you keep air out the flavor will be just fine but you will loose the texture. Frozen cheese becomes very crumbly and sometimes a little mushy.

    I would first grate / cut / slice the cheese into smaller pieces then freeze. After thawing I would only use it in dishes where it is melted and combined with other flavors.

  3. i would never do that, i think its better to deep cool it or make something out of it and then freeze it

  4. Yes.  Store it in airtight containers.  

    Most cheese will crumble after they are thawed.  That's why I freeze some cheeses.  They are great to cook with and for sprinkling on tacos and potato soup.  It's great to use in casseroles and quiches.

    Don't count on being able to freeze it and slice it.  Thaw in the fridge.

    You can thaw it in the microwave, but you've got to stand watch over it or you'll end up with a gloppy mess.
