I'm a 5'10" male and currently weigh 125 lbs. I've been trying to gain some weight and I was just curious if I could gain 5 lbs of muscle in a week without the use of steroids. If so, do you have any tips on how to do this? Or if it's healthy?

  1. Honestly, it's not very healthy, or possible. Your body needs time to recover, some muscles, when worked hard enough don't even recover in a week. The only way this would be possible is with prohormones or steroids. (which I'm not recommending..)

I've found some solid workouts on this site though: http://www.SwoleFitness.com

Maybe you should check them out? They work well for me.

  2. 5 pounds sure, but 5 pounds of purely muscle? I'm not sure that's possible. Squats are the best lift for putting on mass though. Go here http://kingoflifts.blogspot.com

  3. It might be possible. But to my experience it would be healthier to take it moderately.

I have personally gained 35 pounds of muscles over years of weight lifting and healthy exercise. My goal was not to gain muscles or weight or watch myself in the mirror every day. My goal was to stay healthy and fit. Staying fit definitely have its advantages and the main one is feeling good and brain function better.

My original weight after high school was 135, now 170 wearing the same pants size.
