Hearing isn't a problem, but wondering if this procedure limits my chances at passing the medical.

  1. a non issue, when filling out medical application

disclose the particulars. It will get a yawn from the ME.

At some point of the exam ,the MD(or his assistant) will turn his back to you and ask you a question, (dont be surprised if this happens on the way to the exam room, my last one, as soon as the MD came into the room, the PA says, whisper test satisfactory.)if you reply, congrats, you just passed the hearing test!(aka whisper test)

no worries, schedule your med exam and start that flight training!!!

  2. Shouldnt be a problem unless your ears cant equalize then it would be too painful to fly a lot. Otherwise as long as you are fit and healthy I'd say go for it. Website below doesnt mention hearing/ears as a problem at all.

  3. Should not be aproblem with you unless you still have symptoms. Not sure if you are in the UK or us. But here is a sirte helpful to US pilots
