Is it possible to get 2 positive test then go to the doctor the next day & get a NEGATIVE? Help!?

I took a home pregnancy test and it came out positive and the line was faint so me and my husband decided to go purchase a E P T digital test and it said PREGNANT.... Then Today I go to the doctor office and I get a test done because they need to confirm it and it came out Negative!!!! HOW can that BE?

Hmmm..I'm going through the same thing but my doctor took a blood test and will know the results tomorrow..Your doc should have really done a blood test!!! Go back and request a blood test or go to the ER and ask them to do a blood test for HCG..If you got a positive I'd say you probably are pregnant and the doctors pee tests weren't as sensitive as the EPT. Did you miss your period? and if not when is your period due?

was it a pee test that they did?

if it was not your first sample of urine of the day then there is a chance that the test was just not sensitive enough to pick up pregnancy hormone, esp during the day.

you can always ask for a blood test.
