  1. somedays a dumb *** five bucks for a round 50ae only 80 cents per round got my deagle $650 ps try 44 mag verson or 357mag www.gunbroker.com.

  2. mabe used mabe used

  3. I've seen them for less than 1000 dollars, yes.

    But not by much.

When you're talking about a Desert Eagle, that's the ballpark you're going to be in.

And, something you might not realize, a SINGLE round for a Desert Eagle,

averages around FIVE dollars. SO, it's gonna be expensive all the way around.

But I must say, that's gotta b one of the coolest choices for a handgun.

Anyway, I hope I've helped at all. Goodluck man.

  4. Pretty poor choice for a self defense gun.  The thing is too big for much of anything.  You sure can't carry concealed with it.  It would be like trying to hide a Volkswagen in your pocket.  Everybody who has ever bought the .50 AE wants to get rid of it because it is so damned expensive to shoot.  There are so many far better guns for self defense out there that I can't understand why anyone would want a a Desert Eagle for their first self defense gun.  Hollywood has really done an oversell on those guns.  I had to have one.  It was certainly not my first gun.  h**l, it wasn't even my 10th gun nor my 50th gun but I had to have it so I got it.  Now it sits in my gun safe.  I've got too many other better guns.

I recommend that you get something like a 1911  .45 acp.  Now that's a good gun.

  5. here's what you do.

You wait for some dumb kid who is legally an adult, age 21 or over,  who only knows about guns from movies and video games.

You watch him go into the gun store and buy a Deagle for $1400

You then invite him to the range.  He'll shoot the Deagle, and he won't be able to hit the target, and it will jam all the time, and it will have way more recoil than he can handle, and he will limp-wrist and the gun won't fire more than one shot without him needing to hand-cycle it.

He will declare it a piece of junk.  You then offer him $1000 for it, he'll gladly accept that offer to be rid of that piece of junk.

Don't get a Deagle.  Get some common sense instead.

  6. Its pointless to get a desert eagle as a self defense gun because its basically impossile to carry it concealed unless you have a backpack with you. its kinda like shoveing a 12 gauge into your coat pocket. go with something smaller and simpler like a colt 1911 .45 acp or a walther pps 9mm (great gun for concealed carry btw) they are better guns to use for self defense and cost less

  7. Poor choice of weapon for your first weapon and for self defense. They are a movie gun that really works best as a paper weight, door stop, or tire block.

I would look into Springfield Armory, Sig Sauer, Beretta, Taurus, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, etc. Better guns for half the price.  If you want to spend that much money get a Kimber 1911.

But I would not trust a DE with my life.

  8. Get a revolver or a 1911 for less than half the price and it will be a better gun.

  9. Probably. However, you can get a gun that is twice as reliable, half as heavy, for half the price.
