Is it possible to get a Japanese e-,mail account if you don't live in Japan?

If you just want to get free email account like yahoo.co.jp, you can take it without living in Japan.

If you want x*x.ne.jp address, you can't because these are given to people who are subscribing to ISP in Japan.

Do you want an e-mail account in Japanese language or just a .co.jp address?

For a nihongo account just sign up for gmail (as its awesome) and change the language.

For a .co.jp address... uhh why would you bother?  I tihnk you can probably go to yahoo.co.jp and sign up from there.

I live in Japan and get by no problem on UK e-mail accounts.
