Is it possible to get a fingerprint off an eggshell?

i egged a house the other day and the police said they could get my finger print off the egg shell and i wasnt sure if that was possible..is it?

well if the egg was picked up by someone else, I would not think so bc now it has someone else's fingerprints on it. They are just trying to scare you into telling on yourself, but you really need to grow up and learn from your mistake.

Cops use that kinda c**p all the time. Like bringing out a peice of hair thats the same color and length as yours, trying to get a confession. Basically, a fingerprint is the oils on your finger being transposed onto another object. Unless you threw an egg which didn't break, and even if you did, its nearly impossible to get a fingerprint from that. Like getting a fingerprint off a gun? Its harder than TV and movies make it seem, because it would have to be on a flat surface of the gun, and many guns have rivulets and whatnot. Basically, your're safe. The cops are simply trying to coax a confession out of you. Until they bring a lab report confirming, just deny. Deny everything, its the best way to go when facing the police. If you did it with other kids, make sure everyone denies, that way the cops are at a dead end.
