I know my credit but I don't want them to inquire because it will take a chip out of my score. What is the best way to get a car lease quote without a credit check?

  1. You can get some online free at sites with lease tools.

Here, I've used this for equipment, see if it works for cars:

  2. To get an accurate lease payment quote, the dealer would have to get your credit score, as that is what determines your lease money factor (finance rate).

Actually, a single credit inquiry, or even multiple inquiries within 45 days, only counts as one inquiry and has minimal affect on your score -- possibly 2 or 3 points at the most -- not enough to worry about.

If you know your score is good -- at least 700 -- then simply tell the dealer to give you a quote assuming you have a good score. He won't actually check your score until you decide to go with the deal.

  3. Sure you can get a quote over the phone or via the internet without giving personal information, but your credit will be checked if you plan on financing or leasing anyways.

Basically, you can't avoid a credit check if you are going to finance a vehicle (including a lease).

Note that once one finance company checks your credit, you have 60 days to shop around for a rate or lender without it negatively impacting your credit. You would only get dinged once for up to a certain number of inquiries for the same type of loan (car, house, etc).

    Just don't go crazy.

  4. Your credit history needs to be checked cause it will be the basis whether you are worth giving the lease or not. Without it, you cannot get through with any transaction with any financing company.
