Is it possible to rent a limo one day before you actually need it?

First of all, probably not. Second of all, why do you need a limo? I've in one before and all it was, was a good air conditioned car with a fridge. Then you're out of it before you know it. I suggest you take a normal vehicle and save some money.

It's tough, especially if your prom is on a saturday. some companies might be open on friday if you try the day before

Try alternatives. But hey, why do you need a limo? People have used tractors, old cars, new taxis, grandad's 1956 Buick Roadmaster, Uncle Bert's Pick up truck, a really nice Cadillac SUV, an upscale great rental vehicle, etc.

Please do not get drunk. Why ruin a great evening?

Good luck finding a limo on prom day.  Most limo operators will be very busy and it's not likely they will have equipment or drivers sitting around the day before your prom.

If you're near a big city, you'll have a better chance, since there are more limo operators in the area.  You should reserve as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
