Is it possible to get a patent on an idea?

Question

I have this unbelievably great idea, and if it possible for me to patent it, I can go to school, study hard, and figure out how to get it done.

obviously i wont say it here, but it yea, im just curious if this can be done.

If so, please give me detailed instructions on how, if possible. Thank you.

You can go to a patent lawer and they will look at it and tell you if its a good idea to put on the market or not. I dont know what you have but more and likely there going to tell you is great idea and it probly is i'm just say with them they will tell you its great so they can get the money for patent it.

  And it aint cheap, i went to one with something i had it cost me a 100.00 bucks just for one hour for him to look at it. He said it was great and it was going to cost me 2,500 dollars for the patent. I did'nt have that kind of money so i just started building them myself and did real good with it. Remember this all someone has to do is change your idea 10% and they can build something close to yours. Hope i help.
