Is it possible to get a ration card for bachelors?

I am a bachelor staying in Bangalore for the past 3 years.

Is it possible to get a ration card for bachelors, Really i am struck up with getting a gas connection in Bgl... Other source told me that bachelors will not able to get ration card is it true Prompt help would be highly appreciated

Yes, get a certificate from Civil supplies dept. and submit that in Bangalore PDS Dept. nearer to your stay and after getting this Ration card apply for a Gas connection. all this will take at least 6 to 8 months. may be due to elections in karnataka you stand to benefit it fast.
