  1. Get a s***w extractor. It drills into (what's left of) the s***w to grip it and remove it from the wall.

Another trick is to use a drill, and tighten the chuck of the drill directly onto the s***w and try removing it that way. This is risky though, because you can damage your drill so that other bits will no longer fit.

A third option is to get a bolt cutter and cut the portion of the s***w that is sticking out as close to the wall as possible and maybe use a grinder to make it even.

  2. I'd second hammering it into the wall.  If for any reason that doesn't work you could try drilling holes as close as possible all around the broken s***w, then you should be able to get it out by a combination of hammering inwards and hammering sideways.

  3. Make a slightly bigger hole around the head so that the head of the s***w can be fitted tightly in the chuck of the drill. Operate the drill in the riverse direction.

  4. You can buy a special bit that removes broken screws.  Honestly, though, I would hammer it into the wall and cover it with spackle.

  5. cut a new slot with a hack-saw or a dremel tool and use a slotted s***w driver to back it out...

  6. i'd get/borrow a power tool called a "saws-all", then you could just cut the tip that is sticking out, and put a little dab of putty over the hole. They do sell a lot of different blades for saws-alls, make sure you get one that's made for cutting metal.

  7. Borrow a drill.  Attach the s***w to the drill as if it is a drill bit.  Reverse the drill and the s***w should come out.  If not, I would try to hammer it into the wall and spackle over it like was already suggested.
