  1. If the TV has the capability - yes. Most TV's don't. I have personally seen 4000P (4kP) at a broadcast technology convention, but most consumer grade TV's are max 1080P.

As far as 120hz, that is the refresh rate, meaning it refreshes at twice the rate as the previous TVs (60hz). But, as always, it's not something the untrained eye can pick up. It's designed to help eliminate motion blur in LCDs. Unless you are gaming in 1080P, there's no real need yet.

  2. The maximum resolution you will find available is 1080p.  Larger computer monitors have 1920 resolution.  There are purpose built monitors (not televisions) with higher resolutions but most are used in commercial or industrial settings.  Broadcast monitors are also usually in 1080p, although many 720p monitors are still in use. as well as  some standard definition sets.   Televisions are presently limited by the broadcast standards and the TV display itself.  (the number of pixels on the screen)  One pixel equals: 1 red "sub" pixel + 1 green +  1 blue "sub" pixel. That and the video circuits.  The 120Hz refers to the refresh rate of the picture.  The picture is presented 120 times a second rather than 60 times a second.  This eliminates flicker on high brightness scenes and presents fast motion scenes with reduced blurring.
