  1. get it cut into layers...

    then it will look thin....

  2. I have thick curly hair, and I've had it thinned a long time ago...I was only happy for a short time because when it grew out, it looked really bad.  It created more layers, and more ends, and the frizz got worse and it didn't look better til I grew it back out.  I wouldn't recommend it. Embrace your beautiful thick hair!  Have you tried straightening it?

  3. i have the same exact hair type as you. i use to have it thinned all of the time but as i got older i have lost a lot of volume in my hair and no longer need to have it done.

it does not put holes in your hair. it doesn't grow out crooked. those are both myths. make sure you get a stylist that KNOWS how to thin curly hair. i do not recommend thinning the hair with razor scissors i often got the worst haircut results when those were used. i prefer the scissors that look like they have tiny teeth on them, if you can request the thinning shears. only a stylist should use them.

you can also get lots of short layers and have it thinned out it will look fantastic. i choose medium short layers to control the shape of my hair and a recently took on a shorter hair style and stopped wearing head bands and pony tails. I enjoy it greatly. not saying you have to it just worked for me.

don't worry and take your time looking for a good salon.

  4. You can get it thinned,

I've heard some people that got it thinned and liked it, and some people that didn't.

I geuss it all really depends on your hair style, and how it will turn out for you, i've heard that if you have short hair, and you get it thinned out, it actually turns out pretty well, but if you have long hair.

That it doesn't work so well.

  5. you can get it thinned but, it'll basically be layered but it makes your hair go in a triangle, depending on how curly your hair is mine is medium, so I can't  have it layered because it goes triangular. So I would try it being layered it may work for you and for the frizz Herbal Essences fruit fusions are the best.  You can get it chemically thinned, but it makes your hair really weak and it can fall out.

  6. I have curly hair that's frizzy and I've had layers and had it razored without a problem but I hear black hair is an entire different story and even harder. Your best bet is to go to a hairdresser who knows their stuff and they should know what to do, part of the thickness is because of the curl of course to so getting it straightened could help if you wanted. My hair is so horrible, it tangles into a rats nest 10 seconds after I brush it and it's so hard to brush when its curly but it's so awesome and manageable when I straighten it.
