The best way to buy a domain for free is to purchase your domain and webhosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some webhosting companies offer this as a gift . I am using bluehost webhosting for mine

HI Chelz ....you can get free webspace included  in your package from your ISP ...  AOL.. Orange.. BT etc...use this. & you will also receive a web address this is your email address combined with the ISPs...

BUT you will need to buy & register a domain name if you want to use something that is related to what your web is about.

Another way is to open a page with MySpace or FaceBook etc and register your domain name with them... it is then yours for zero...  hope this helps... my cred of how I know is below... love Lizzie
