  1. YES apply at a local restaurant, a or maybe even a applebees, TGIF chain restaurant. Just tell them you are willing to learn, and are very flexable. Also talk to friends or family to get advise from them who have done this type of work before. USually when being in the waitress business, its about your personality, and knowledge about the food items you sell. So if you get a interview with a restaurant mgr, be some what knowledgeable about the menu.

    Good Luck!!!:)

  2. probably

  3. Yea you can, just all depends on where tho.they would rather have someone with experience..

  4. Yes,If you are training her...

  5. Sure it is.  You just have to have a friendly personality and quite often employers will judge your character and appearance and offer you a first-time position.  Sometimes restaurants will start you off cleaning tables or running food or something similar, then bump you up to waiting tables when they see that you are a good worker.  Often, smaller, locally owned restaurants are more likely to give you a chance without experience, as large restaurant chains want experience as they're solely in the business to make money and make a good impression.  Locally owned placed are often managed by just that, someone local, who will be around to help you get experience and give you a chance.  Good luck!

  6. yes it is.

  7. Yea, lie.  Pick a restaurant that has since closed down and put it on your application.  That way they can't call for a reference.  Then fake it 'til you make it.  That, or be REAL honest and hope they find you charming and admirable and hire you as a host/hostess/busboy to get your foot in the door then work your way up.  Whatever you do, make sure you have OPEN availability.  It will better your chances.  Then get in, prove yourself worthy and then limit your availability.  Good luck.

  8. Yes, it is possible.  No one was born with working experience.  Some places will be willing to train.

  9. yeah

  10. Yes. If you have the right manager that's willing to work with you and willing to take the time to train you then yes, it's possible.

  11. Yes, in most cases the turn over is high, so they are always looking for neww people. Just be willing to work all days and hours.

  12. Yes, but it depends on the restaurant.  Many expect you to work as a host/hostess first.  When I was in college, my local Marie Callender's trained me as a waitress first.

  13. yeah u should be able to, how do you think everyone starts out...???
