Is it possible to get my driver's license if I don't have a learner's permit?? I am 17 so I should be able to get my license, right??

  1. Depending the rules in your state. Usually u have too wait til ur 18. Just call the DMV.

    what you pay for a permit is a tax do you really think the state will allow you to get out of a tax.

  3. No. In most, if not all, states, you have to take the written test for a permit, then you have to wait a certain period of time before you can take the road test to become a licensed driver. The waiting period is usually less for adults than for minors, but it still has to be completed.

  4. I live in florida and if you don't have a learners permit then you have to wait until you are 18 to get your license without your permit.

  5. You're still a minor. At least in Michigan you have to be 18 to go straight to a license but even then you have to practice driving with a licensed adult for at least 30 days before you are eligible for the written and driving tests. If you're 17 you are still required to go through driver's training and the graduated licensing program. Other states the laws may very but I seriously doubt the laws are any different for 16 and 17 year olds anywhere. The magic number is 18.
