i have a ton of plastic water bottles, i mean tons.

i heard someone tell me that recycling companies will pay for these in bulk. is this true? if so, what price should i be expecting to get?

i know it would be bad to just throw all of them into the trash can just like any other garbage which is why i want to recycle them.

  1. Some placed want it to be in a clear plastic bag and crushed down also keep clear with clear and colored with there own color sounds prejudice but that is how they want it. You might also look at the bottom or side of them you will find a triangle with numbers in it, this lets you know what grade of plastic it is. To which then the center can pay according. I know around here there is no plastic however, I pick up cans from the side of the road and turn in around 100 pounds a month at up to 72 cents a pound. As for the plastic lots on the side but I would have to have a major truck load and carry them 3 hours away just to get anything for them and with the cost of fuel not worth it.

  2. you can take it to a nearby recycling center and get paid, but it's not that much per bottle...only like 10 cents i think

  3. Fact unless you have paid a deposit on the plastic bottles YOU WILL NOT GET 5 OR 10 cents per bottle think about it.Second aluminium pop cans give you a return of about 60 cents per pound and that is the money maker in recycling, for your plastic bottles you may get a few pennies per pound good to take them in and get what can if they will even pay you for them

  4. Yes you can get pay 5 cents for each plastic bottle.

  5. it depends on where you live

  6. 5 cents per bottle

  7. If you go out to local recycling centers and bring some bottles and plastic products, they'd pay you for bringing them in. However, I don't know how much they'd pay you or what you're expecting to get, but you'd still get paid no matter what.

  8. It depends on the grade of plastic

  9. Yes you can, it's ten cents each.
