Is it possible to get pregnant if you got sperm inside of you 3 days after ovulation?

after ovulation? i have read many answers on here of people saying how you cant get pregnant after you ovulate.

its just less likely, but still possible, so use protection if your not looking to have a child.

It depends on how long the egg survives and also how long the sperm survive. I'm not exactly sure how long an egg survives after ovulation, but I can tell you for  fact that sperm survives a LONG time.  My husband and I "fooled around" the day I stopped my period.  I could tell by side pain when I ovulated, which was always in the middle of my cycle.  I ended up pregnant....so that must have been one HECK of a strong little sperm!

If you are concerned, check out the pregnancy tests they have in the drug store now.  Many of them can tell very early if you are pregnant, you might be able to test yourself in around 10 days to see if it comes up positive.  And of course, if you are late starting your period, take a test early so you will know and can decide what to do.

All the counting and focus on ovulation on here is because many people here are trying to conceive so they are having s*x at the time when they are MOST LIKELY to conceive, but you can get preganant at any point in your cycle, it is not a precise science. so YES, you could be.

If it is 3 days after you ovulated, then no you can't get pregnant from having s*x 3 days after. While sperm can survive for 3-5 days, the egg can only survive for 24 hours unless it is fertilized.
