  1. When you deleted it,...did it stay in the Recycle Bin?

If it did,and you still have it there,..then you can Restore it back to where it was a year ago pretty easily!

Here's a video for a bit more info:

Whenever a file is deleted, windows simply hides the file by altering the file header and then allowing other data to overwrite it. In order words, the deleted files still exists, but only for a short amount of time before something else replaces it.

You can only recover files that were deleted very recently. Chances are very slim that you'll be able to recover a file that was deleted a year ago.

  7. Yes, it's possible to retrieve deleted files from your computer, but from a year ago... probably not.

Your best bet is to use Convar's PC Inspector File Recovery (http://www.pcinspector.de/Sites/file_rec...

If you're a regular user of your PC, have defragmented it since you deleted your file, or download large files regularly, you will have little or no chance of retrieving the deleted file you're looking for.

When a file is deleted from your PC, you're simply marking the area(s) of the hard disk your file occupies as re-usable.  Your OS can then reuse that space, permanently erasing the old data.

    Good luck!
