Is it possible to give your bird "too much" attention and therefore spoiling it?

I own a cockatiel and i just wondered whether a cockatiel can become spoilt?

NO WAY! Any type of friendly and lovable bird can NEVER get enough attention! Especially cockatiels, parakeets, and lovebirds. These types of birds NEED alot of attention or else they will become depressed and unhealthy. It is very good that you give your birds the love and attention they need. Continue what you are doing and your birds will reamain happy! :)

lol my bird is way to spoiled, he always calls to my when we get separted  lol maybe some space is good from time to time so he doesnt become "obsessive" over you   http://www.parrotcentral.net/cockatiels....  for good cokatiel info

To a degree, if they don't learn to entertain themselves, they can become an nuisance when you're not playing with them. Just remember, if you only have one bird, you're their only source of companionship. Birds are VERY social animals and are used to being in big groups.

They get used to the attention and if they stop getting it they will scream or pluck their feathers. Only give them as much attention at first as you plan on giving them forever and you shouldnt have a problem.

yes they can and once u stop giving it that attention they will become screamers.yell for ur attention
