I saw a kid on a snow board go over the edge of a glacier...he went bloody fast all the way to the bottom ( head first )...SPLAT !!!!!!

skiing is defo faster.

I also think one of the reason skiers go faster is that they know they are far less likely to catch and edge. I do both.i`m slower on my board due to worrying about catching an edge

Skiing is faster.  it is also much better than snowboarding.
