i'm 22 and my fiance is 24, we met 2 years ago and neither of us have credit cards, we will get one together, but not til we both finish school and get our career jobs

I have just one.  My spouse has his own. another for household emergencies.  That way there is no argument about who spent what.

Since we maintain three checking accts.  His, Hers and household.

I'm 66 years old. I have never had a single credit card... So yeah, I guess it's possible to go through life with only one. I managed to do it with none!!

Yes as a matter of fact, i have none.  I find it is better as you never have to track receipts to track down payments.  Also, paying with cash and debt rid you of interest payments that could accumulate with credit cards.  However, credit cards come in hand when getting a credit rating when purchasing a large item.  However, it is the price you pay to rid yourself of the headaches.
