Is it possible to graduate OCS (Marine Corps) as a FIRST LIEUTENANT?

  1. It is possible depending on if you have a very specialized skill. Such as DR, lawyer or certain engineering skills. Also with certain of the skills you can get a comminsion without OCS. My brother was being recrutied for the Navy and to enter the service as a Lt CMdr since he has a phd in molecular biology and the army was looking at giving him a commission as a captain. He refused both. Also the commissions are listed as limited duty commissions such as they can not walk into a unit and take charge.


  2. only those with specialized skills such as Doctors,lawyers and Nurses.. and they don't go through OCS.
